"Of course!" claims Dr Caldwell Esselstyn. And he has the findings of a 20-year study to prove that changes in diet and nutrition can reverse heart diseases.

I must confess I've never heard of Dr Esselstyn till I saw him on CNN recently. He was interviewed by Dr Sanjay Gupta for the one-hour programme "The Last Heart Attack".

The programme also carried an interview with former US president Bill Clinton. He talks about his two heart attacks and how by following Dr Esselstyn's plant-based diet and changing his lifestyle, he has lost 27 lbs and feels fitter now than he's ever been in his life.
